Rich in terpinene-4-ol, gamma-terpinene, and alpha-terpinene, Tea Tree essential oil is one of the most widely used oils in both cosmetics and aromatherapy. However, its popularity has led to deforestation issues in certain regions. That’s why we choose a Tea Tree essential oil that has no impact on the natural habitat and supports the return of indigenous populations to their land in vulnerable regions.

HOW TO USE

DERMAL ROUTINE
Skin application is to be used if you want to overcome a cold sore, acne pimples, wart, boil and nail fungus for example. You can also use it to speed up wound healing.

Using a cotton swab, simply apply to the localized area of your skin this pure essential oil, or you can also dilute in an organic vegetable oil.

The advantage of this technique is that the essential oil quickly crosses the epidermis. On the other hand, it is advisable to remain vigilant, because the tea tree can be drying, even irritating to the epidermis if there is an overdose. In pure use, only 1 drop morning and evening on the infected part.

ATMOSPHERIC DIFFUSION
The diffusion of tea tree essential oil is strongly recommended if you want to declutter your respiratory tract and relieve an influenza state.

DRY OR WET INHALATION
Inhalation of tea tree essential oil is ideal during the winter, when colds, rhinitis, sinusitis and ENT infections occur. The principle is about the same as for diffusion in the air, since you breathe the powerful smell of the tea tree.

You can opt for the dry inhalation method by applying a few drops of tea tree EO on a tissue, or for wet inhalation by pouring your EO drops into a bowl of simmering water. Thanks to water vapor, this second technique is very effective to moisten the nasal cavities and increase breathing comfort!

BATH
In an aromatic bath, to soothe skin problems.

You can also prepare a foot bath with tea tree essential oil by pouring 5 to 10 drops on coarse salt, before throwing everything in a basin filled with hot water. A formidable solution to fight fungus foot and ingrown nails!

    Details

The Tea tree (in French "tea tree") owes its name to the navigator James Cook and his crew, who arrived in Australia, made a kind of refreshing tea from the leaves of the tree. They also observed that the natives used these leaves to make pouches which they applied on wounds to treat infections. In 1922, well before the arrival of the first synthetic antibiotics, the chemist Arthur de Raman Penfold distilled the leaves of Tea tree and confirmed the plant’s incredible antiseptic and antibacterial properties.

This discovery spread very quickly, so much so that at the beginning of the second world war, the Australian government offers a bottle of essential oil of tea tree in every medical kit of the Australian army and navy. The first synthetic molecules appear at the same time on the other side of the earth and very quickly put away this natural essence with undeniable virtues. Nowadays, this essential oil is rediscovered and it is increasingly used by the medical profession in addition to treatments or research, especially to fight against bacteria resistant to synthetic antibiotics. How far has this leaf taken at first, wrongly, as a simple tea leaf... So do not hesitate, the essential oil of Tea tree is an essential and indispensable oil of aromatherapy!
