    FAQs

    Recommended for

    ECZEMA - PRURITUS - PSORIASIS - DERMATITIS

Evening primrose oil is particularly rich in linoleic acid but also in gamma-linolenic acid, direct precursors of anti-inflammatory compounds. A set of metabolic chains will lead to the synthesis of type 1 prostaglandins (PGE 1). By this means, evening primrose oil has been widely studied for its beneficial effects during inflammatory pathologies including dermatological problems. Among them, atopic eczema, psoriasis and dermatoses in general can be treated by plant oil of evening primrose. In this case, the vegetable oil can be used by dermal application directly on the area in question but also orally.

    WRINKLES - MATURE SKIN

The high content of linoleic and gamma linolenic acids is of real interest for the skin. This composition allows to restructure the cell membranes while ensuring their fluidity. In addition to this rich composition of essential fatty acids, evening primrose oil is composed of vitamin E. These last ensure anti-oxidant properties very interesting to fight against wrinkles. Thus, evening primrose oil will be widely used in anti-wrinkle care, to regenerate the skin and bring care and radiance.

    DRY SKIN - SENSITIVE SKIN

Evening primrose oil is rich in unsaturated fatty acids. Thus it will be perfectly adapted to dry, sensitive skin, weakened as much for the face as the body. It restores suppleness and elasticity to dry skin once nourished.

DRY HAIR - BRITTLE HAIR - BRITTLE NAILS - DAMAGED HAIR

Just as it is suitable for dry skin, evening primrose oil will also be suitable for brittle hair and/or nails. Evening primrose oil is used in this case by direct application or oral to strengthen your hair and nails.

    CHOLESTEROL - CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASE

As mentioned earlier, evening primrose oil is rich in AGL, an essential fatty acid with anti-inflammatory properties. In addition to these properties, AGL has been shown to be effective in cardiovascular disorders. GLA significantly reduces LDL cholesterol, but also blood pressure and triglycerides. It also seems that evening primrose oil promotes good blood circulation. It can be used to prevent thrombosis since it allows a decrease in the aggregation of fatty bodies on the walls of blood vessels.

    ARTHRITIS - INFLAMMATORY PAIN

Evening primrose oil is obtained from the seeds of the plant. These seeds are particularly rich in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA). It is a type omega 6 fatty acid considered essential because it is not directly produced by the body but is obtained through our diet. This GLA is converted into dihomo-gamma-linolenic acid (AGDL) which itself promotes the synthesis of anti-inflammatory compounds. Among them the famous type 1 prostaglandins (PGE 1). At the same time, AGDL reduces the synthesis of pro-inflammatory metabolites. In other words, evening primrose oil thanks to its rich GLA composition allows, as well as borage oil, to fight against inflammation. Research has shown the effectiveness of GLA in treating rheumatoid arthritis. Numerous clinical studies have shown that AGL supplementation reduces joint pain, inflammation and tenderness.

    SUPPORT FOR MULTIPLE SCLEROSIS

Studies are underway to define the value of supplementation with evening primrose oil to relieve some symptoms of multiple sclerosis. It is the anti-inflammatory effects of evening primrose oil that are highlighted here.

    DIABETIC NEUROPATHY

Some studies highlight the interest of taking AGL in the treatment of diabetic neuropathy. This pathology is defined by the functional and structural damage of the nerves in a diabetic patient. It is therefore mainly translated into pain. Evening primrose oil could therefore be useful as a supplement to relieve some symptoms of this pathology.

MENOPAUSE - MENSTRUAL DISORDERS - MASTALGIA

Evening primrose oil is composed of 8 to 10% gamma-linolenic acid. The latter is a precursor of type 1 prostaglandins, substances with an anti-inflammatory effect. These seem to reduce menstrual pain (breast, lower abdomen, etc.) but not only. Prostaglandins act on the entire hormonal system. Thus, evening primrose oil can be used in gynecology during menstrual cycles to regulate pain, mood disorders or migraines. To be tested during menopause.
