Nourishing and protective
Its composition rich in fatty acids (30 to 40% oleic acid (omega-9), 34 to 36% stearic acid (AGS), 24 to 29% palmitic acid (AGS) and 2 to 4% linoleic acid (omega-6)) gives it excellent emollient properties. Indeed, fatty acids strengthen the skin barrier to protect the skin from dryness. In addition, cocoa butter contains squalene (6.7%) which is a natural active ingredient in our sebum. It therefore strengthens the protective and nourishing properties of butter by consolidating the hydrolipidic film of the skin.

Anti-aging
The phytosterols contained in cocoa butter (mainly beta-sitosterol, stigmasterol and camptosterol) are powerful active ingredients fighting against skin aging and helping it to regenerate. This butter also contains vitamin E, a very good antioxidant protecting the skin against oxidative stress and neutralizing free radicals that cause premature aging of the skin.

Soothing
The polyphenols contained in cocoa butter help calm skin irritations. Cocoa butter is also rich in oleic acid, a fatty acid found on the hydrolipidic film. Thus, it strengthens the protective barrier of the skin and helps to calm irritation.

Softener
Oleic acid present in large quantities in cocoa butter helps strengthen the hydrolipidic film. Strengthening the hydrolipidic film helps the skin maintain its elasticity and suppleness. This butter also contains theobromine (1%) which prevents the formation of stretch marks. Theobromine also helps to smooth the skin and eliminate cellulite because it helps to destock skin fat by activating lipolysis (release of energy from stored fat).

Dry face skin
